Dear Kindergarten Parents:
Happy Friday to all of you! Hopefully you are all doing well in this first week of November – I can’t believe how it snuck up on us! We had a busy week this week – Election Day on Tuesday, Thanksgiving lunch on Thursday, and a lyceum at Park today! Here is a look at the week ahead:
- Reading and Language Arts: This will be our final week discussing families in reading. We will focus on the letter N, and our Alphafriend will be Nyle Noodle. We will spend time reviewing our two new words, my and like.
- Math: We will still be working on numbers up to ten. By the end of next week, students should be able to recognize and write the numbers through 10.
- Religion: We will not be attending church on Tuesday. We will discuss how God gave us families. We will also be working on praying the rosary and learning about saints. We will end the week with a Gospel Weekly article.
- Social Studies: We will discuss physical features that can be found on a map.
- Please sign the permission slip that I sent home today and return it by Friday, November 14th. Thank you!
- Devin Preuhs was the Peacemaker of the Month for October. Devin is always very kind to his classmates. He is always worried about other people and their feelings. Thank you, Devin!
- Please remember that there is a two-hour late start on Wednesday.
- Please help your children to remember to return their books on Thursdays so that they can check out new ones.
- Please read through the information on above the line and below the line behavior that we are beginning to implement at St. Anne’s. Please let me know if you have questions.
Sincerely,
Miss May
