Dear Parents,
Thank you for signing up for conferences that will be held next Monday and Tuesday. I am looking forward to discussing your child's adjustment to
the third grade curriculum and some behavior issues the class needs to work on.
Please send the four dollars and twenty five cents fee to cover the transportation costs for our field trip to St. Paul that we took on October 7, 2008. Thank you to the parents that already sent the money back with the permission slip.
The class is very excited about their success in our marathon last week. I will let you know more information about our bowling party as we decide when we are going to schedule the event.
I have some concerns about returning homework the next day it is assigned. Your child's work should be in on time. It must be done neatly and if it's written work the sentences must have the correct capitalization and punctuation. I will only accept quality work. If your child does not have the work completed that child will miss recess to do the work.
Starting next week I will be sending home a reading record sheet to help your child keep track of books read at home. I am asking that each child read at least twenty minutes a day or be read to as this will reinforce what is being done at school. Reading at home will be part of the child's reading grade.
