November 6, 2008

MNSAA Conference
I will attending the annual MNSAA, Minnesota Nonprofit School Accrediting Association, meeting this Monday, Nov. 10 at the University of Minnesota Conference Center.

Mass
Mrs. Wolf and grade 1 will be assisting Father with the school liturgy on Tuesday, Nov. 11th. Mass will be at school.

Learnia
Miss Wilson, Mrs. Grieves and Mrs. Adams will be attending the Learnia teacher training on Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 11:30 in the Twin Cities.

2 Hour Late
Wednesday, November 12, is a scheduled two hour late start. School will begin at 10:01 for the students.

District Staff Meeting
I will be attending the district annual staff meeting Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7 A.M.

St. Anne’s Mission Coordinator
Mary Hammer will be meeting with the student body on Friday, November 14 at 9:00 A.M. to discuss our mission work, Rosa, our adopted student in El Salvador. We will also pray the rosary together.

Thanksgiving Food Drive
St. Anne’s School will be hosting their annual food drive. Proceeds will be going to our local LeSueur food shelf. The drop off basket is outside the school office. Please consider having your child earn and pay for the food that they donate. Please remember that hygiene articles such as soap, toothpaste, diapers etc. are also needed and welcomed.

Christmas Musical
The name of our Christmas musical is, Once Upon A Christmas Light. It is scheduled for Tuesday, December 9th at 12:30 and 7:00 P.M. Please invite your family and friends. See enclosed letter from our music teacher Mrs. Miller.

Warm Fuzzies
The following students turned in 7 warm fuzzies during the month of October and received either a Sunny D or a prize from the prize box! They were:

The students will now be required to turn in 7 warm fuzzies for a November reward.

In-service
Monday, Nov. 3 the teachers worked on the school improvement plan, above and below the line behavior, religion standards and had time to work tidy up their classroom.

Building Peace Peacemakers
The following students were chosen as October Peacemakers for being “Builders of Peace:”

Soon these students will be treated to a morning treat of cactus bread and juice, they will receive a certificate for a free mini pizza at the Pizza Ranch and a Peacemaker certificate.

November Trait
Our trait for this month is “Empathy.”

Scrip
Enclosed are the fall reports for the Scrip profit that you have earned. Please remember that each family is asked to raise a profit of $225 or pay the difference as part of your fund-raising obligations.

Patron Speakers
The Patrons will be speaking at the masses this weekend to help make parishioners more aware of Scrip and online shopping.

Community Center
We are grateful to the following parents that volunteered and helped out at the Community Center: Anya Asheim, Crystal Genelin, Greg Hynes-Marquette, Tom Rabaey, Paul Richter, Melissa Schwartz, Renae Tiede and Isaiah Trimbo’s grandfather!

Adopt a Family
We have one family that we are adopting for Christmas from LeSueur county. This project is coordinated by Kathy McNamara from St. Wencelaus School in New Prague. If you would like to participate please purchase an item and send it to school unwrapped labeled with age and M/F. See list below. Thank you!
